The most vile, nasty and ignorant internet troll I've encountered, Pat Dunaway, posted a blog entry calling me ugly.
OMGF!
Should I go shoot myself?
Perhaps Pat should stop with the personal insults (she also targets some of my friends: Maria, Debi and Douglas among others) and focus on the issues.
Of course, she's so absolutely wrong about the issues regarding shelter reform that her demented mind has nowhere else to go besides insulting people.

You know who you are.
This is for the person who can't manage to have a conversation with me without throwing in at least one personal insult.

And Now for Something Completely Different
I'm going to diverge a bit from my normal banal blog entries, and delve into an issue that is important to me-ending the killing of animals in shelters. There are some people who, for various reasons, oppose this goal. Some for personal hatred of Nathan Winograd who is a very vocal proponent of shelter reform. The funny thing is, the haters can't even agree on why they hate.
Pat Dunaway and Randy DeCarlo-I found an ally in your hate campaign for you. Here's some screen shots.
Hooray for you guys. I found someone who is on your side when you claim that Nathan supports breeders and puppy mills.
Oh, wait.
This is a commercial breeder.
She hates Nathan.
Are your heads exploding yet?

Bad Customer Service
If anyone has a choice about which trash company to use, don't choose Pacific Waste, AKA Allied Waste Services. I cancelled service, was assured by the person who took the order that no further payments would be taken via auto pay, and then they took $137 out of my account any way.
First phone call-Oh, our mistake, we'll refund your money right away.
Second phone call after no refund-It's YOUR fault, you didn't cancel the auto pay. Refund will take three weeks.
So, two different lies, and nearly a month that they kept money they weren't entitled to. I just got another invoice. This time for $0, with a "Pay now" option. I'm tempted to pay them nothing to mess with their computers, but don't trust them not to take real money.

Speaking of being nice...
I have a friend who I like most of the time, but some days he irritates me. I deleted a comment he made on one of my Facebook posts today, and told him why, but he got huffy about it. He has a tendency to only comment if he thinks he can correct people about something, trying to prove that he's smarter than everyone (which he isn't). My post today was about this photo:
It's a frozen water drip, taken at 9:30 am. I said "Yes, I still live in San Diego." Mr. Jackass said something unnecessary about it not being in the city of San Diego. Technically that's true, but why have a snotty tone and point out something completely irrelevant to my point, which was that it was abnormally cold here?
From now on if he makes a comment that is just fault finding and misses my original point, I'm going to delete it and not bother to explain. I may make a comment myself such as "unnecessarily argumentative input has been deleted." People can say whatever they want to on their FB pages, but I can control what is on mine.

Nice People!
It's so wonderful that there still are people around who will help others without being asked or any expectation of payment. Special thanks today to my new neighbor; a French-Canadian gentleman wintering here who came to help put up my awning so it wouldn't blow away.
